Thank you again to Lynne from Lynne’s Recipe Trails, for nominating me for the Three Day Quote Challenge. On day 2 of the challenge, I want to pay homage to “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas. This has to be one of my favorite books in the world. I read it when I was younger, and literally could not put it down. I came across this quote and just had to use it for this challenge. It has been so long since I read the book, that I could not tell you where the quote is, but it seems to sum up so much of what Edmond Dantès (the main character), must have been feeling after 14 years of wrongful imprisonment (in horrid conditions, I should add). I hope you enjoy this quote 🙂
My day 2 nominees for this challenge are (Please don’t feel obligated to participate )
Vidya at Traditionally Modern Food
Rules of the challenge:
1 – Thank the blogger that nominated you.
2 – Share one new quote on three consecutive days on your blog. They can be from anyone, anything or anywhere.
3 – On each of the three days, nominate three more bloggers to carry on the fun! No pressure; nominees are free to decline.

The Count of Monte Cristo is a wonderful book and that’s a great quote, I agree that Edmond is an amazing character, Fourteen years in that prison must have been unbearable, but the escape is fantastic.
