About Zoale

Hello, welcome and thank you for visiting Zoale.com!  My name is Antonia and my blog is all about food, mostly Greek and American inspired, but there is something for everyone.   Come in and look around, and I hope you enjoy your visit!

I am a Southern born, Greek-American, lover of food.  Cooking, baking, and creating recipes are some of my favorite things to do in life.  Who am I fooling, they’re right on up there at the top of the list! I am excited I can share my love of food with you!

My mother is from the old country and as a result, I grew up in a Greek cultured household with oodles of yummy Greek delights. I have deeply fond memories of the most mouth-watering, from scratch, traditional Greek cuisine. You know the kind I’m talking about? Where an aroma and closed eyes send you straight back to that place in time?! She is an amazing cook and has taught me well enough to carry the baton. I also have cherished memories of spending time with my father’s family and eating American southern food that was simply unforgettable. My paternal grandmother was a fabulous cook and I still dream of her homemade chicken n’ dumplings with perfectly browned chicken and fresh snap beans. Aren’t food memories the best? My husband Kevin is also American and I enjoy making his childhood favorites and eating his mother’s delicious food! She has a whole other arsenal of recipes and skills that can’t go unmentioned. I am beyond lucky to have these women as mentors to journey with.

In case you are wondering where Zoale might have come from…. Kevin suggested a portmanteau (fancy word, right?!), merging our children’s names, and Zoale was born. The name is so special to me, and represents two of the tummies that inspire me.

So, now that I have your attention, I hope you stay awhile and find inspiration and maybe even some memories!  Don’t forget to sign up for the blog today, to receive delicious recipes weekly 🙂  Please stop by and see what I am cooking up.

I would love to hear from you. Please comment below or I can be reached via email at hi@zoale.com!
