Oreo Vanilla Pudding Pie

Vanilla Pudding Oreo Pie

One of my all time favorite desserts are pudding pies.  You can combine almost any flavor and make them as easy or difficult as you want.  Years ago, I came up with this recipe, and it is always a big hit.  The Oreo crust combined with the vanilla pudding is just divine.  It is a perfect treat for your Valentine or for any day of the week.   Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am excited to take my pie to Fiesta Friday #158!  Your lovely co hosts this week are:  Ai @ Ai Made It For You and Petra @ Food Eat Love.

Oh this looks and sounds so good!

Do you put baking peas on your crust when baking it?

Thank you so much Deborah! No, it presses into the pie dish and you don’t need to weigh it down. The butter keeps it in place. Have a great day!

Nice, Antonia. It looks tasty and easy to make. My husband would jump up and down with joy if I made that! 😀

You are too funny, thank you Paula! These pies are great, because you can even buy an Oreo crust and whipped cream, if you don’t feel like making it. I love the flexibility and endless combinations. Have a fantastic day!

Oh, even better! I’m really going to have to try it this weekend! The men in my house love cookies and cream types of goodies! Xoxo

Awesome, I hope you all enjoy it! You can usually find the Oreo pie crust with the graham cracker crusts on the baking aisle.

Well this sounds delicious Antonia! Funnily enough, Matthew always says that he hates chocolate but somehow he loves Oreos?! I love the idea of using Oreos to make a pie crust—that’s very creative. Happy early Valentine’s Day to you and the family 🙂

Thank you for your kind words Heather! That’s funny, because my son is the same way. He says he doesn’t like chocolate, but will eat Oreos, M&Ms, and my chocolate cookies. Happy early Valentine’s to you all as well and enjoy your low key evening 😀 Have a happy day!

Let’s face it, this is unlikely going to satisfy the LOW CARB meal planner! But, if it is a “cheat” day, this looks awesome! You are truly a person of talent. 🙂

Hi Rhonda 😀 Thank you, it is a tasty combination 😀 My mom gave me a couple of glass ones years ago, and they are made by Pyrex. I love to make cookie based pie crusts in them. Yes, those are my little ones…thank you for your sweet compliment! I hope you have a lovely weekend as well!

This looks totally delicious, Antonia, but I have just one question. I’m not sure what you mean by a box of vanilla pudding. It looks very like custard to me, which over here, is either made from flavoured cornflour and milk or eggs and milk (i.e.egg custard). 🙂

      02/13/2017 at 9:53 am #

Thank you Millie! It is made with milk, sugar, flavoring, and corn starch (for thickening). The corn flour would work too, and you could also use egg custard for the filling. Have a wonderful week!

I might have to make this recipe. It looks delicious! I was going to ask what the vanilla pudding was, but I see Millie (my Mum!) has already asked you. In fact, I hope this means she’s thinking of making one… 😀 I thought the middle looked like a custard.
