three cheese pizza main

Pizza has to be one of my favorite foods, and I would eat it all the time if I could.Β  Unfortunately calories and health get in the way πŸ™‚Β  I really enjoy making pizza at home, and my family gets super excited when I make it.Β  It is also a fun family activity.Β  When I was little, my mom would make pizza almost every Sunday and I just love those memories.Β  I love being able to pass this on to my little ones.Β  I also remember sneaking pieces of dough when it was rising.Β  I wish I could tell that little girl, “Don’t eat raw dough, it’s bad for you!,”Β  but I can’t.Β  Anyway, back to the reason for this post….pizza!Β  On Tuesday, I shared a delicious garden fresh pizza sauce, and today I will bring it all together with a fantastic hand-tossed crust and a trio of delicious cheeses.Β  I hope you enjoy this pizza as much as we do!

Homemade pizza night is a huge hit in our house too! The kids like to help and we have fun coming up with new toppings. I use Jamie Oliver’s dough recipe but add some semolina, love it because it makes so much and I can freeze enough for another night. I can see why you like to get your kids involved, it really does make a difference in their food choices when you include them in the cooking process.

I totally agree, and I love teaching them about food πŸ™‚ Even something as simple as teaching them how dough is made is fun. I usually make garlic knots to eat while the pizza is cooking, and my daughter likes putting them on a tray and setting out plates. It is really cute πŸ™‚ It’s good to know other families make pizza night fun!

I would love to hear from you!
