Blueberry Biscuits

I love berries!  It is so wonderful when they are in abundance and fresh and local.  Last year, I came up with this blueberry biscuit recipe and wanted to share it with you all again.  These biscuits are not too sweet and packed with juicy blueberries.  I am not a big fan of overly sweet blueberry biscuits, as I like the berries to take center stage and shine.  Speaking of stages, my little girl is dancing in her recital this weekend.  I am so excited, and I may be more excited than she is 😀  I was almost brought to tears during the rehearsal…what a wonderful experience!  Isn’t it wonderful to watch your little ones perform?  I am so proud of her!  She loves these biscuits and I am going to make them for her the morning of her recital.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!  It really is a perfect late spring or summer breakfast!

I am excited to bring this recipe to Fiesta Friday #122!  The lovely co-hosts this week are: Mollie @ The Frugal Hausfrau and Aruna @ Aharam

Blueberries are just now starting to appear on sale in the grocery store and I’ve been buying a bunch of them! I love your tip for drizzling a little glaze over the top 🙂 I hope your daughter’s dance recital goes well this weekend! I was in dance all while growing up and recital time was always my favorite!!

I love the fruit this time of the year and the more the better! We watched a young 5 year old grand daughter stumble as a poppy in The Wizard of Oz to winning awards until she graduated from high school. You have so many years to look forward to and enjoy 🙂

These look great, and I like your technique for working the blueberries into the dough. The last time I made scones with fresh blueberries, the dough turned purple even though I was being so careful not to overmix. I’ll have to try your method!
