It’s Tips for Tuesday!

This week’s tips: Top your veggies with olive oil and salt!

veggies and oil

Extra virgin olive oil and salt make a delicious topping for vegetables, whether cooked or raw. I mostly top all my veggies this way. Steamed veggies, salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more. Sometimes I only use olive oil and salt on my salads, and sometimes I add a little balsamic vinaigrette to the mix. If you do not already do this, give it a try. It is a yummy way to add healthy olive oil to your diet. If you are watching your calories, I recommend measuring the oil. One tablespoon contains 14 grams of fat.  Enjoy!

Indeed EVOO is amazing and makes the perfect condiment to vegetables…I tend to overdo it and add too much so I really must remember to measure!

I do the same thing. It is so much easier not to measure 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Lia!

Yes I’m lazy to take out the spoon and measure! But my waistline needs attention so I really should 🙂
