This week’s tips: Top your veggies with olive oil and salt!
Extra virgin olive oil and salt make a delicious topping for vegetables, whether cooked or raw. I mostly top all my veggies this way. Steamed veggies, salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more. Sometimes I only use olive oil and salt on my salads, and sometimes I add a little balsamic vinaigrette to the mix. If you do not already do this, give it a try. It is a yummy way to add healthy olive oil to your diet. If you are watching your calories, I recommend measuring the oil. One tablespoon contains 14 grams of fat. Enjoy!
