It’s Tips for Tuesday!
This week’s tip: Make your own biscuits!
I love making my family homemade biscuits. Since biscuits are not a healthy breakfast, I only make them about once a month or so, and when we have guests or it is a special occasion. My kids (and husband 😉 ) get super excited when we have them. I usually make 2 or 3 types to please everyone. Although making biscuits is a little labor intensive, they are fairly easy to make. Ever since I started making my own, I never buy store-bought or mixes. I love being able to control the amount of fat and the quality and quantity of ingredients that go into my biscuits. Plus, if you are making something as fattening as biscuits, why not burn some calories when you are making them, right?
My biscuits are made with real butter, and not shortening. Below are links to my homemade biscuit recipes.
