It’s Tips for Tuesday!
This week’s tip: Make your own pumpkin spice!
Yay, tomorrow is the first day of fall, or as I like to call it…pumpkin spice season 😉 I just love pumpkin spice and get lost in the combination of warm, sweet, and strong spices. Every September, I restock my spices, so I can make it whenever and as often as I want. I use it in coffee, baked goods, and even on toast. Pumpkin spice is super easy to make, and can be made in less than 10 minutes. I hope you enjoy my recipe, which has a little extra sweetness and spice. Have a great first day of fall tomorrow 😀
Try these 2 delicious recipes made with my pumpkin spice blend:
Pumpkin Spice Muffins Pumpkin Spice Pancakes
Ingredients
- ¼ cup ground cinnamon
- 2 ½ tsp. ground nutmeg (freshly ground preferable)
- 5 ¼ tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (sugar in the raw works great)
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine all of the spices in a small blender, food processor, or cleaned coffee mill. Mix well and until fine. Store in a sealed container. Enjoy a taste of fall!

Thanks Lynn! It is really delicious and I use it in almost everything for months 🙂

Thank you! 😀
If you can believe it, I just learned a couple years ago how to make my own pumpkin spice! Since then I’ve never purchased another bottle in the spice section!
Me too! It is so awesome to make it whenever you want it. I use it in everything, especially iced lattes 🙂

Yes, yay to fall!! I am so glad you like it! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do 🙂
Yes..I can already tell that I will love it!! 😊👍
Awesome 🙂
This looks amazing, flavorful!
Thank you 🙂
I never have made pumpkin spice. I never really use it though either. I just measure my spices each time I bake since I switch up with slice dominates. This looks great though and maybe I’ll finally make a batch. The kids certainly love pumpkin spice season, anything with cinnamon or nutmeg and they are all over it!
I hadn’t made it up until last year, but am so happy I did. I use it daily in my coffee and experiment with it often in baked goods. Although, I still measure my spices out for pumpkin pie. I hope you have a chance to try it 🙂
I’d like to try this in my oatmeal! Saving this and putting the spices I don’t have in my pantry on my shopping list.
I love your little jar!
I bet that would be tasty. I put it on everything I can 😉 Thank you, I just had to use it for the picture. I found it years ago with cinnamon in it and saved it. I always save glass spice jars just in case. Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy!
