Green beans with pine nuts is a quick and delicious side dish, and a tasty and interesting addition to a Thanksgiving spread or everyday meal. Pine nuts are packed with flavor and pair nicely with green beans.

1 lb cooked green beans
1/3 cup raw pine nuts
Asiago cheese (or similar variety)
extra virgin olive oil
kosher salt (to taste)
Toast pine nuts over medium heat in a little olive oil. Once they begin to brown, add the cooked green beans and a little more olive oil to coat. Toss the nuts, beans, and olive oil together. Salt to taste and heat through. Serve topped with grated Asiago cheese.
Note: If you are making this for Thanksgiving, make the green beans a day or two ahead and store in the fridge. Bring to room temperature before tossing with the nuts and oil.
