Use beer to braise your meatballs!
The next time you make meatballs, try finishing the cooking process in a dark beer. I especially like this for turkey breast meatballs.
Make turkey breast meatballs with your favorite seasonings and ingredients. Quickly brown each side (a couple of minutes on each) either in the oven or on the stove, and then place in a warmed bath of beer (oatmeal stout works nicely here). Continue to cook in the beer over medium heat, until the meatballs are cooked through. The beer adds moisture to a normally dry meat and a nice light flavor of beer. On Thursday, I will have a great beer recipe which will compliment any beer braised meat.
